About the Bartok Bela Hungarian School of Boston (BOSKOLA)
Did you now, that we Boston Hungarians have a thriving Hungarian school
in Lexington called the Bartok Bela Hungarian School?
The Bartok Bela Hungarian School proudly announces its 10th year serving
the Boston area Hungarian community.
The oldest students of Boskola started off over 15 years ago, as babies
and toddlers attending "Kuckó", (trans. The Nook) the Hungarian
children's playgroup. This group, now all grown up, formed the nucleus
of Boskola, the Bartók Béla Hungarian School of Boston that is supported
and governed by the Hungarian Society of Massachusetts (HSM).
In 2009-10 the school boasts a student body of over 100 students ranging
in age from 3 to 18 served by 15 teachers in 10 groups. It is known
affectionately as BOSKOLA (BOstoni osKOLA) and it is represented by a
sweet hedgehog logo.
